The New Zealand wool is 30-32 micron with a nice staple length.
The nice thing about spinning a higher micron count, I think, is that it is easier to spin up into a thicker yarn more easily. A lot of spinners find it difficult to spin thicker once they have learned how to spin thinly! But, I find it easier to spin a thicker yarn when working with a higher micron count wool.
