This is 400 yds and 3.5oz of undyed fingering weight 100% Superwash Merino wool 3 ply yarn. It is 100% Made in the USA.

Made from domestically raised Merino wool, that was milled and spun in Pennsylvania, this Merino is not superfine and soft. Merino wool comes in higher micron counts that are not soft and this yarn has a tight twist and tight ply, so that it will wear very well, but it is not a soft fingering yarn because it is not Superfine Merino and has a high twist and ply.

This yarn is its natural, undyed ecru color and will dye beautifully with any acid or natural dyes.

Fingering weight yarns include sock weight yarns, since actual 'sock' weight does not actually exist. However, sock yarns are usually a slightly thicker fingering weight than this yarn. It is a fine fingering weight.
