This is 100% Cormo combed top. Cormo wool is prized for spinning, felting and dyeing. Cormo is a crimpy, fine wool with a 23 micron count. Also note its 4-5" staple length.

Cormo sheep originated in Tasmania, Australia by crossing Corriedale sheep with Superfine Saxon Merino sheep. This gave them heavy, dense and fine fleeces that are now coveted by spinners.

I remember some years back when all spinners were absolutely drooling over Cormo wool! Cormo was the 'it' wool!
