The kit includes: a drop spindle w/ leader string attached, 2 oz of your choice of colors of beginner friendly dyed Cheviot wool, and an easy to follow instruction sheet with pictures! Pick whichever 2 colors you would like with your spindle from the drop down menus. You receive 1oz of each color for a total of 2oz of wool. I also have a separate listing for a 4oz drop spindle kit if you would like 2 of each wool.

The directions also include links to youtube videos for the 'park and draft' method of drop spindling, how to ply on a drop spindle, and how to finish your yarn! I include these links because I am a visual learner!

Learning to drop spindle before moving on to using a spinning wheel is a must! I am an impatient person and did not want to learn how to use a spindle before I hopped right on a spinning wheel, but it is an invaluable first step to learn how to draft, and learn how the yarn twists. It was much more fun, easier, and quicker than I had imagined. It's easy to do it while watching tv, and easy to take it with you when traveling!

It is best for beginner spinners to learn with an easy wool, and this 100% Cheviot wool is a good wool to begin with.
