This is 100% carded Corriedale wool. Please note that the staple length is not that long. You can see the staple length of the fiber in the picture of it on my hand in the listing pictures. Carded wool is fuzzier in appearance because wool is carded on a large brush drum. There are more shorts fits of fiber in this preparation than there are in combed top preparations which comb all shorter bits of fiber out of the final combed 'top'.

This wool is a heather or melange (blend of colors). There are bits of amber wool in this blend and it is a perfect color for felting animals. This wool will be perfect for needle felting. Corriedale wool does wet felt, but not quite as readily as Merino wool does. The finer the Merino wool, the more it wants to felt if you even look at it wrong!
