These cherry wood nostepinnes were hand-turned by my father out of cherry wood from the fence rows of our family bicentennial dairy farm. They are a nice size nostepinne at 13" in length with a nice, solid heavy, quality feel in the hand.

My Dad calls himself a 'barn carpenter', but he's done a pretty nice job building buildings, cherry kitchen cupboards, wood floors, furniture and chairs. He is entertaining himself in retirement with chair building and is playing with the lathe I gave him after I realized I didn't have time to turn spindles! :D So, he made me these nostepinnes! Note that each nostepinne has a little pinhole in the top of the nostepinne, as pictured, where they were hung so that they could stained and sealed.

I'm definitely going to have to keep at least one of these for myself, since my Dad made them, unless he makes me more!
