Combed cotton sliver that is 100% a Product of the USA. Grown and milled here. Cotton is a short stapled fiber, and this is combed cotton top. Combed cotton has the short fibers all aligned and straightened, so they can slip apart very easily. If you want a cotton that retains the natural fuzzy, disorder to the fibers, you should try the Easy to Spin cotton that I sell. It is also grown and processed here in the US and it comes in natural colors.

If you want to spin cotton, combed cotton can really only be spun well, in its combed cotton form, on a tahkli or charkha. If you want to spin cotton on a regular spinning wheel, I recommend Easy To Spin cotton that I also sell. You can spin that slowly and pragmatically on a regular spinning wheel with a high speed whorl.
