Lovely light gray baby huacaya alpaca fiber. If you look closely at the pictures you can see gray and brown tones in this heathered soft gray baby alpaca. The staple length is 4-5". This alpaca fiber is 23-26 microns and it feels so soft and wonderful. Alpaca fiber has a bit of a silky feeling to its softness.

Some people say not to make alpaca sweaters because they will stretch out and lose their shape, but I have an alpaca sweater and I enjoy wearing it, and I don't find that it stretches out too big. I enjoy the drape that the resulting knitted fabric has.
