Dyed hemp fiber for spinning, felting or doll hair. It is really nice to work with pre-dyed hemp, because plant fibers can be more difficult to dye, especially before they are spun.

This color is a purple/blue color. The camera seemed to make it more blue. but I think it looks like a violet/blue-purple hue.

You can see from the pictures that the staple length is about 4" in length and this is the amount I like to pull off and spin from the fold.

It spins very easily by just pulling off a little bit where the staple length separates, as you see pictured, and folding that in half to spin from the fold. You can spin it with or without water to wet your fingers, but using a little water, helps make the little hairy fibers lay down and produces a smoother, shinier yarn. It makes a very thin and strong thread.
