Natural Green Cotton Easy To Spin Sliver for Spinning, Blending, Dyeing undyed cotton fiber roving Batting Product of the USA
from $11.99
Natural Green, Easy to Spin cotton, grown and processed in the US! This listing is just for the cotton, and does NOT include the takli spindle.
Don't you just love the natural color of this easy-to-spin natural green cotton? After spinning, you can soak the yarn in ammonia to deepen the color! So neat! Just soak in hot water and household ammonia (2 quarts water/ 3/4oz ammonia) and a few drops of detergent for 30 minutes. Rinse and dry! This cotton has been specially milled to retain the fiber's natural attributes that make it so easy to spin.
You will see in the pictures that I tried to take a measurement of the staple length of each cotton, and there is a photo that compares it with some of the other easy-to-spin cottons I sell.
You do not need to boil handspun cotton yarn to set it, unless you are going to dye it. To set the twist, soak the yarn in hot water with a few drops of detergent for 30 minutes and then hang to dry.
It's natural and undyed. It is a plant fiber and vegan friendly.
Sold by 2, 4, or 8oz. Ships quickly.
