Organic Cotton Yarn Fingering Weight Yarn Undyed 4 ply Summer Lightweight Skein Ecru Natural Made in the USA

$10.99
This is 100% U.S. grown and milled Organic Cotton fingering weight yarn. It is entirely grown and made in the USA!

Each skein is 350 yards, and 100 grams of fingering weight Organic Cotton yarn. This yarn has a nice ply to it, making it strong and I think it will wear nicely. It is soft, with a nice hand.

Perfect to knit as is, or dye.

The orange leaf yoke sweater in the listing pictures shows this cotton yarn both naturally dyed with Madder root and other natural dyes and undyed. The sweater is very comfortable to wear. The one big thing I noticed when knitting this sweater with cotton yarn instead of wool, was that the 1x1 dyed and undyed yarn stitch at the neckline, cuffs and at the top and bottom of the yoke pattern, really tighten up when knit in cotton. I think it had something to do with it being a 1x1 stitch pattern between 2 colors. The other thing with cotton yarn is that it stretches out side to side more than wool since the fiber doesn't have memory. So, when using this yarn for a sweater, remember that it will probably 'grow' a little horizontally, and cotton sweaters, usually shrink just a little bit vertically in length when they are washed for the first time. Otherwise, this cotton yarn is really wearing really nicely, and is nice to wear and work with.

My home is smoke and pet free and I carefully store all my fiber and yarn. This is ready to ship!
