**Note - I only sell dye jars with a single natural dye, because I can no longer buy the taller 1/2 gallon jars that worked well for putting 2 different natural dyes in at once. The jars that I have now are still 1/2 gallon, but they are shorter and wider. Without the height of the jar, I don't feel that 2 natural dye colors can be separated enough in the jar to produce 2 separate colors. If you want to use your own taller jar, I still have the 2 natural dye refill options available below. **

Choose the natural dyes you'd like. The 2 dyes in one jar will give you a naturally dyed variegated skein! or you can choose a single dye, and will get more of that natural dye to dye a single color:

- Cochineal + Logwood (pink & lavender)
- Cochineal + Heather (pink & peach)
- Madder + Cochineal (orange & pink)
- Madder + Logwood (orange & lavender)
- Weld + Cochineal (yellow/peach & pink)
- Logwood + Heather (lavender & yellow/green)

Solar dyeing with natural dyes makes natural dyeing easy. There is no fooling around with pre-mordanting and extra pots. You don't need to set the jar in the sun for additional solar heat if you don't want to. Adding hot tap water will give you all the heat you need.

You will receive a set of instructions with your dye & mordant refill. Additional skeins of undyed yarn are available in the 'Yarn' section of my shop, if you need to purchase more yarn for your jar.

It is a lot of fun to watch watch a dye jar on your windowsill any time of year, even winter! I love to see the colorful jar sitting on the window sill catching the winter sun, reminding me of the colors of spring plants and flowers.
