This is bleached Tussah Silk Noil which is a by product of the silk combing process.

This silk noil is short silk fibers that are good for adding to soaps, adding to spinning fibers for texture or for adding to felting fibers. They can be dyed with acid or natural dyes and of course, are perfect for paper marking!

This silk noil has been compressed, but when it is pulled apart, it becomes soft and fluffly like silky cotton.
